  • A concealer
  • A foundation

lip balm recipeStep 1
Apply the lip balm generously onto the lips for a softer feel. Only when your lip’s skin is soft and supple, a lipstick will look good on it. Never forget this point when applying lipstick. A lipstick never looks nice on cracked lips.

Apply your concealer on the lips and on the cracks, if any. Blend it well. The foundation will help your lipstick last longer and it will also make it stick to your lips. It also helps to give you a flawless almost no crack lipstick appearance.
lip concealerStep 3:
Use foundation on the lips. Blend it well.  This does the same work as that of a concealer. It smoothens the texture of the lips.

Use you lip liner just a little outside of your natural lip line. You can grab an absolute red liner for your lips or you can stick to even a black eye liner pencil.
Don’t get shocked, sometimes for those dark red lips you can use your eye liner pencil for that high definition touch. It gives you the most prominent dark lining that you have ever expected.

Moisten your lip brush and take a bit of red lipstick on it. Using a brush for lipstick application is the best way to apply lipstick.

Start applying the lipstick. Remember for a dark red lips appearance, you can directly glide on your dark red lipstick too. Keep in mind the prominence of the cupid’s arrow of the upper lips. A prominent look of the upper lip is very much essential for this look.
Step 7:
This is an additional step if you want dark red lips without having to buy another dark red lipstick. If you already have an attractive blood red dark lipstick, then do not go for this step. What you can do is lightly apply your eye liner pencil over your lips first and blend it well as shown below:
