Shilpa Shetty is a renowned Indian actress and model born to Sunanda and Surendra Shetty. She did her schooling at St. Anthony’s Girl’s High School in Mumbai and completed her graduation from Poddar College in Matunga.
Shilpa started modeling at a very young age of 16 when she did an ad campaign for Limca cold drink. She debuted with ‘Baazigar’ opposite Shahrukh Khan which was a huge hit at the box office and even earned her the nomination for the best supporting actress. She starred in several films thereafter with some of the biggies of Bollywood, but none could create uproar at the box office.
She finally made a mark at the box office with her movie ‘Dhadkan’, which did quite well at the theatres and her acting was appreciated by one and all. Her portrayal as an AIDS patient dejected by the society won her many accolades. But the turning point of her career was certainly her winning the British Celebrity Big Brother TV show in 2007 and was thus, able to reaffirm her feet in Bollywood. 1. Shilpa Shetty was spotted at the Siddhi Vinayak temple in Mumbai just a few days before her wedding. She visited the temple with her mother and sister Shamita to get blessings from the Lord for a blissful wedding and after life. She sported a Juicy Couture velour bright red tracksuit paired with sports suit. She opted a complete no makeup look to give her skin a break from heavy face painting. Her skin is truly glowing without makeup.
2. Chirpy and bubbly Shilpa was snapped hiding her face from camera on her visit to a suburban PVR last year. Shilpa and her hubby took out some spare time from their busy schedule to enjoy a movie in PVR. But the couple was suddenly startled when they noticed paparazzi around them. Shilpa, despite looking good in a blue tee and denims did her best to hide her face from the camera, just because she wasn’t wearing any makeup. The photographers still managed to take her picture while she got into her vehicle.
3. This picture was also taken at the PVR where Shilpa Shetty had gone with her sister Shamita for a film during her pregnancy. The pregnancy glow is still very much prevalent on Shilpa’s face as she is looking ravishing even without a trace of makeup. Though initially she was a bit hesitant to get clicked as she was not wearing any makeup, she later obliged to the photographers. She wore a simple kurta and jeans and carried an embroidered pashmina stole to cover her baby bump.
4. This picture was taken at Priyanka Chopra’s father Ashok Chopra’s prayer meeting which was held at J.W Marriot in Mumbai. Dr. Ashok Chopra passed away last month due to prolonged suffering from cancer. Almost entire Bollywood flocked in large numbers to offer condolence to Priyanka Chopra. Shilpa Shetty, who shared a tiny screen space with Priyanka in ‘Dostana’, arrived in a white kurta and blue jeans for the prayer meeting. She went for minimal makeup for this gathering.
5. This picture was taken on Shilpa’s arrival for the prayer meeting of Sonu Nigam’s mother which was held at ISKON in Mumbai. Shobha Nigam passed away in her Andheri home due to cardiac arrest. Shilpa Shetty arrived in white anarkali dress to pay her last respects to Shobha Nigam. Shilpa is looking pretty good in this no makeup look of hers.
6. The owners of Rajasthan Royals team were spotted at a Mumbai theater along with Sunanda Shetty last month in Mumbai. The couple made their first public appearance following the infamous IPL spot fixing scandal. The couple refused to answer any question posed by the media and just walked off. Shilpa wore a white tee with a sleeveless grey shrug over it paired with torn denims. She left her hair loose and wore just a kohl and lip gloss as makeup.
7. Shilpa Shetty and her husband were absolutely beaming with joy after giving birth to Viaan, their little bundle of joy. Shilpa was seen waving to her fans from the balcony of Hinduja hospital after being discharged from the hospital. The baby was cozily wrapped in a soft white blanket in his daddy’s hands. Shilpa looked charming and beautiful in a buttoned down blue and black tunic paired with leggings. She looked very fresh and stunning even without makeup.
8. Shilpa Shetty was snapped at the Jodhpur international airport carrying her little baby Viaan. She was accompanied by her husband Raj Kundra. The couple had gone to Jodhpur to attend the wedding of Rishika Lulla, daughter of Kishore Lulla who is the CEO of Eros International; a Mumbai based Indian motion picture production and distribution company. Shilpa is gifted with a naturally beautiful skin, thus she did not feel the need to apply base makeup and is still looking stunning.
9. This picture was taken while Shilpa was in the Big Brother house. Shilpa had been a victim of racism during her stay where several housemates did not approve her stay and made fun of her accent, cooking and her country too. Shilpa is seen crying badly in this picture after being mentally harassed by Jade and others. But Shilpa withstood all and emerged victorious in the end.
10. ‘Baazigar’ starrer Shilpa Shetty was spotted at the Jaipur airport while flying back to Mumbai after attending her IPL team’s jersey launch party. She visited the city with her husband and co-owner of Rajasthan Royal team Raj Kundra and of course the junior Raj Kundra. She looked amazing in salmon pin denims and a white tee paired with a plum waistcoat. She kept the makeup minimal with just a stroke of eye liner and a swipe of lipstick.
