Wedding is a onetime affair and every bride wants it be perfect and look her best on this day.  As you will have a number of Videos and Photographs taken, it is very important that you look and feel great on this day!  And if you feel that bridal makeup is too much of a job for you, think again. With some practice and the right techniques on how to do makeup for wedding, you can save a lot of time as well as do a better job of applying makeup yourselves.

Here’s how to do bridal makeup

Step 1:

The first step is preparing the face for the makeup. You need a smooth base for a perfect make up. Cleanse the face with a mild cleanser and use a toner. Then follow it up by applying a moisturizer, this helps in hydrating the face. Make sure you moisturize even if you have oily skin. Just keep in mind to use a moisturizer specifically formulated for Oily skin.

Step 2:

Choose the foundation shade perfectly. Also invest in a good photogenic foundation. Try out different brands and take pictures with flash to see if they look ashy or pale in photos. If you have oily skin use water based foundation. Apply a cream foundation for dry skin and liquid or powder foundation for oily skin. Before foundation apply a heavy duty concealer under the eyes, on spots and blemishes.

Step 3:

makeup sponge brush

Take adequate amount of foundation on the hand and use a makeup sponge/ brush to apply. Then pat your fingers over the foundation to help it blend well. Then start with the eye makeup.

Step 4:

Apply an eye primer as a base. An eye primer helps in making the shadows stay longer and look more vivid. Now take the shadows you have selected and apply the lightest shade on the lids. Always use the lightest shade on the lids as a wash. Then apply the darker shade into the crease. If you want a third shadow apply it at the outer corner. Blend the shadows well.

Step 5:

Line your eyes with a waterproof heavy duty liner and use a good kajal for the waterline.

Step 6:

Curl the lashes using a curler and then apply a good coat of mascara. Brush the lashes after drying to get rid of clots.

Step 7:

translucent powder

Apply the face powder or a translucent powder to set the makeup. If you want to use a cream blush then use it before you apply powder. If you want to use a powder blush use it on top of the powder. You may also pat a bit of translucent powder on top of the blush to keep it there for a long time.

Step 8:

Apply the bronzer or use a contouring product to define the features. Gently contour the nose, forehead, cheeks and apply a bit on the chin too.

Step 9:

shade of lipstick

Apply a lip liner and a matching shade of lipstick. Apply one layer of lipstick, then blot and reapply. Choose long lasting shades or matte shades which stay longer as you will not get the opportunity to do touch ups.

Step 10:

Apply a bit of gloss starting from the middle of the lips. Use a white pencil to highlight the cupid bows. And you are ready.

That was your guide on how to make bridal makeup. And this is the final look. Bright and beautiful! Perfect style for your perfect day!
